Bij Morton-neuralgie is er (branderige) pijn in de intermetatarsale ruimte in de voorvoet.
De diagnose wordt meestal gesteld op basis van het klinisch beeld.
Schoeiselaanpassingen en gewichtsverlies worden als eerste geadviseerd.
Lokale corticosteroïdeninjecties zijn bij ongeveer 50 % van de patiënten na één jaar effectief.
De hoogste succespercentages (± 90 %) worden gezien bij chirurgische behandeling.
